Dalisa Bennett
Dalisa Bennett, founder of DB Elegance, LLC, was born and raised in Hayneville, AL (Lowndes County). Her passion for the hair industry began in childhood, leading her to attend cosmetology school in 2020. She graduated in 2021 with 1,500 clock hours and became a licensed cosmetologist in 2022. In January 2020, Dalisa Bennett became Secretary of the Julius Bennett Hope Scholarship, working alongside Shernovius Bennett (Director) and Lisa McDay (Co-Director). The scholarship, created in May 2020 in honor of her grandfather, Julius Bennett, supports young adults aspiring to exceed expectations and assist others. Though Julius Bennett passed in 2023, Dalisa remains dedicated to continuing his legacy. In November 2023, Dalisa Bennett graduated from the Torchbearers Leadership Montgomery Class XV. She attended Auburn University at Montgomery (2023-2024), majoring in Graphic Design, participating in various organizations, and being inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS). Dalisa Bennett is currently continuing her education at Alabama State University, where she is pursuing Graphic Design, serving as Treasurer for two organizations, was crowned Miss Blue and White 2024-2025 for Phi Beta Sigma, Inc., Gamma Beta Chapter, and was inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) after her first semester. She has consistently made the Dean's List each semester, achieving an outstanding GPA. Dalisa Bennett is a full-time entrepreneur, actively serving her community and expanding her brand.
