Dalisa Bennett
Greetings! My name is Dalisa Bennett, founder of DB Elegance, LLC. I’m from Hayneville, AL (Lowndes County) born and raised, since I was a toddler I knew I’d be in the hair industry. In 2020, I attended cosmetology school, graduating in 2021 after earning 1500 clock hours and meeting the requirements needed. I officially became certified as a licensed cosmetologist in 2022, establishing DB Elegance, LLC on February 21, 2021, and becoming trademark in March 2022. In January 2020, I became one of the Co-Founders for Julius Bennett Hope Scholarship, Shernovius Bennett the Founder, and Lisa McDay the Director. In May 2020, Julius Bennett Hope Scholarship was created for like-minded young adults aspiring to excel above expectations and assist others along the journey. This organization was founded in honor of Julius Bennett (Grandfather), who was a passionate advocate for education and youth development. We were fortunate to have him with us for the first few years of our journey, but sadly, we lost him in 2023. Nevertheless, we are committed to continuing his legacy and supporting our next generation. In November 2023, I graduated with Torchbearers Leadership Montgomery Class XV, while attending Auburn of Montgomery for one year (2023-2024) majoring in Graphic Design. At AUM, I was apart of amazing organizations, and became inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success. I'm currently at Alabama State University continuing my education in Graphic Design, working as a full time entrepreneur, and serving throughout the community.
